The EUEW Business Convention is one of the most important events in the calendar of the electrical wholesalers’ industry. In recent years it is also becoming a notable event for the entire ecosystem. As such, EUEW leadership feels obligated to scrutinize all major aspects of the event organization and make sure we only bring you the best! Hot topics, excellent speakers, amazing destinations, and venues and, most importantly, unmatched networking opportunities in both a formal and more informal ambiance.
Yes, I know you are all waiting for it, so I won’t keep you waiting any longer. The 2023 EUEW Business Convention is going to take place on June 15th and 16th, in the Netherlands.
This year’s plan is to put the wholesalers’ industry in the spotlight even more. We will not only be inviting more wholesalers to join our event but we will also invite them on stage. You did not reach out to us in vain after the past three conventions, we “heard you loud and clear”. You want to have more industry speakers, able to translate the information for your specific needs and your businesses. Moreover, you asked for the debates to also include representatives of the wholesalers not only suppliers. This was already implemented last year, and we will continue in 2023 as well. Last, but not least important, you mentioned that you would like to have more wholesalers present and, as a result, the EUEW has set an ambitious target to have about 40 – 50% more wholesalers from the industry, all over Europe in 2023.
Next year, for the first time in history, your hosts at the EUEW Business Convention are going to be members of the new EUEW Board of Directors. Having been nominated and starting their activity at the end of June, the members of the EUEW Board had a busy summer, with the aim to bring you some good news this fall. Apart from the Convention, new projects of the EUEW are coming up soon and you will find out more about them from our Secretary General because I’m sure you are all wondering who my new dream team is and I am very excited to introduce them to you: Sallamaari Muhonen – STK (Finland), Hans Henning – VEG (Germany), Frank Jaegtnes – EFO (Norway), Simon Sanfilippo – FME (Italy), Darius Kremer – WKO (Austria), and Guillaume Dubrule – REXEL (France). They are all joining us, the EUEW Presidium, in becoming the new EUEW Board of Directors, for a mandate of three years. Our new members of the board bring their extensive and diversified experience, both from the industry but also coming from outside it as well as the best practices and lessons learned from national projects they implemented. And, more importantly, they bring their time and dedication to the table, to make sure the EUEW continues the right path, and starts offering additional benefits to its members, meeting their needs and expectations always better than the day before.
