VELTEK has appointed Lennart Østergaard as new director. He took up the position on May 15, 2025, and takes over from Per Rømer Kofod, who has stepped down after 10 years at the helm of the organization.

Lennart Østergaard comes from a position within VELTEK, where he has served as section manager for VELTEK Ventilation for the past 7 years, while also being responsible for several other important areas - including the former VELTEK Digital, ETIM and VELTEK's industry statistics. In previous positions, Lennart Østergaard has worked with business development, strategy, digitalization, project management and advocacy, and thus brings both strategic leadership experience and solid industry insight to the new position. With his accession, VELTEK aims to strengthen the association's advocacy for technical installations in construction and promote energy efficiency, innovation and sustainability throughout the value chain.
"I look forward to further developing VELTEK as a central player in the green transition and contributing to creating better regulatory conditions for our members in a time of major changes and opportunities," states Lennart Østergaard.
VELTEK's chairman Allan Andreasen, ABB, is pleased with the appointment: "With Lennart Østergaard, we get a dynamic and committed leader who both understands the industry's complexity and has the ability to navigate at all levels in a rapidly changing political and technological reality."
