Brussels, 26 June 2026 — The European Union of Electrical Wholesalers (EUEW) has elected J. Robert Pfarrwaller as its new President and Elena Bruns as Vice-President, following the Federation's General Meeting held on 24 June 2026 in Brussels, Belgium. The appointments, confirmed by the members, mark the start of a new term for the Federations' leadership and Board of Directors.

J. Robert Pfarrwaller brings more than four decades of international leadership in industrial groups and professional electrical distribution to the role. He served as Chairman and CEO of Rexel Austria from 2014 to 2024 and from 2022 until the end of 2025, he was member of the Rexel Group Executive Committee (COMEX) and Cluster Director for the DACH+ region, covering Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Slovenia. Currently he is co-chairing the supervisory board of Rexel in Austria. Prior to his career in Rexel, he held different senior management positions within the Philips group, across Europe, US and the Asia-Pacifics. He will continue to chair the WKO Austrian Association of Electrical and Furniture Trade (which includes electrical wholesale), therefore bringing strong sector representation and continuity to the EUEW presidency.
Elena Bruns has been closely engaged with the EUEW for many years. She joined the EUEW Advisory Council in 2018 and its Board of Directors in 2023, on behalf of the Advisory Council. Serving as Managing Director of IMELCO since 2011, she brings extensive experience in international cooperation, supplier relations and strategic coordination across the sector. IMELCO is the largest international marketing group of independent electrical wholesalers, represented in 25 countries worldwide.
Mr. Pfarrwaller succeeds Henk Oude Brunink, who served as President from 2023 until 2026. The new leadership takes office at a defining moment for the electrical wholesale channel, as Europe accelerates its energy transition and the electrification of buildings, industry and infrastructure.
“I would like to thank Henk Oude Brunink, chairman of the Board of the IDEE group, as well as the departing members of the EUEW board warmly for his and their leadership. It is an honour to follow Henk, who was engaged in the EUEW for 7 years, the last three of which he served as President”, said J. Robert Pfarrwaller.
Mr. Pfarrwaller sees a great ambition for the EUEW that comes with great responsibility:
“Electrical wholesalers are essential partners in Europe's energy transition. As electrification is reshaping our buildings, industry and infrastructure, our channel connects manufacturers, installers and other professionals and turns ambition into delivery of products and solutions that make this transformation a reality. I look forward to working closely together with our members and national associations to strengthen the sector and make its voice heard at the European level.”
