2017 was a remarkable year for EUEW, as important changes took place. The General Assembly of EUEW confirmed Mr. Ulrich Liedtke, Executive Vice President of Würth Elektrogroßhandel GmbH & Co. KG, as its new President. EUEW also appointed Mr. Hans Hanegreefs as its new General Secretary in 2017 and started to develop its transformation journey.

EUEW’s Strategic Planning Work Group members will meet in London, in order to put in place the EUEW 2019 - 2024 Strategic Plan, refreshing its vision, mission and values statements, which will support the organization’s future and image.
19 March 2018 in Frankfurt
The next EUEW Advisory Council meeting is the second very important meeting planned for 2018, and will follow the EUEW’s Strategic Planning Group discussion. This meeting will take place on 19 March, in conjunction with the Light + Building Trade Fair in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and the 1st EUEW Board of Directors meeting of 2018.
21 - 23 June 2018 in Bonn
The General Assembly and 2nd Board of Directors meeting is expected to take place in conjunction with the EUEW General Convention in Bonn, Germany, between 21 - 23 June. The EUEW General Convention is the lead event for EUEW members, taking place annually, each time in a different European country.
