Electrified | Volume 5

Thank you for 2019, looking forward to 2020

Vision 2020 is about to become a reality, and we shall soon taste the proof in the pudding. The year draws to a close with several high and low points on the economic performance – but great debates on the future of our society and well-being, and EUEW is incredibly proud to have been at the center, if not, at the forefront of it.

We’re pleased to report on a positive momentum progressing well on delivering our 5 strategic priorities:

A comprehensive analysis of regulations for a clear strategic agenda for the EUEW.

A screening of external service providers for stronger capabilities related to statistics, legislation and lobbying.

A system for regular monitoring and reporting that improves quality and precision of statistics, trends and industry, and business outlook.

A platform for communication and knowledge sharing such as position and opinion papers, conventions, innovation tours, workshops and cooperation.

Strong partnerships and networks with peer organizations and key stakeholders who could support EUEW’s strategic agenda.

EUEW has continued to serve as the voice of the electrical wholesaling national associations in Europe, striving to achieve together peoples’ well-being through electricity. And fulfill its mission of developing and representing the interests of electro-technical wholesalers and distributors in Europe.

This closing newsletter is a strong showcase of all the successes we have achieved together – thanks to our Presidium and our Association members. Our community is growing stronger than ever. The stakeholders of the industry – Manufacturers, Wholesalers, Installers, Thought Leaders, Change Makers and Policy Makers – are all uniting closer than ever before to serve one common purpose. A better world through electrification.

We are grateful for all that we have achieved together. Wishing you and your loved ones a happy holiday season and looking forward to continuing our journey in 2020.

Hans Hanegreefs EUEW's Secretary General
