Under the theme “70 Years of EUEW – Connected to the Future”, the 2025 EUEW Business Convention will bring together leading voices, strategic thinkers, and practitioners from across Europe.

5 June 2025 – Convention Day

Looking Forward – The Morning Programme

Our morning program of the convention day will start with a forward-looking session designed to spark inspiration and strategic thinking.

Magnus Lindkvist
Magnus Lindkvist

We are delighted to welcome Magnus Lindkvist, internationally acclaimed futurist and trendspotter, to open the morning with a keynote address. With his signature mix of insight, provocation and wit, Magnus will offer a broad perspective on the global trends and disruptions shaping the world ahead.

Following this keynote, we will turn our attention to the specific implications for the electrical wholesale industry. A second speaker will help us unpack what these trends mean in practice — offering concrete insights and strategic considerations for the next five years.

To deepen the conversation, the morning will also include panel discussions featuring thought leaders from across the EUEW network. These sessions will provide a platform for open dialogue and shared perspectives on how we can remain adaptive, relevant and forward-thinking in an increasingly complex environment.

From Vision to Action – The Afternoon Programme

In the afternoon, the convention will shift into a more practical mode with a series of breakout sessions, built around three strategic focus areas:

  1. Productivity – Exploring technologies and organisational models that improve efficiency and performance;

  2. Sustainability – Examining regulatory requirements and sector initiatives;

  3. Intelligence – Unlocking the power of data, digital tools and artificial intelligence for better decision-making.

These sessions will be enriched by contributions from several EUEW members and partners, including Würth, Rexel, Techlink (Belgium), ETIM International and EDA (Electrical Distributors’ Association). Each session will feature practical case studies, shared experiences and forward-thinking solutions tailored to the needs of our sector.

We also encourage National Federations, Advisory Council members and other EUEW peers to share their knowledge by contributing to one of these sessions. If your organisation has developed an initiative, project or approach that others can learn from, we warmly invite you to participate. This is a unique platform to share your experience and help shape the future of our industry together.

A Cultural Escape – Partner Day Experience

Raindeer Park

While delegates engage in the convention programme, we are pleased to offer their partners a unique opportunity to explore the best of Helsinki through our social tour.

This 7-hour journey combines nature, culture and cuisine, including:

  • A visit to Finland’s Reindeer Park, with the chance to interact with these fabled animals;

  • Traditional Lapland coffee served in a tepee setting;

  • A guided city tour of Helsinki, discovering its history and highlights;

  • A two-course lunch at a local restaurant;

  • A stop at the architectural marvel of the Rock Church, one of the city’s most striking landmarks.
