The Electrical Distributors’ Association (EDA) has appointed David Moore, Director at Medlock Electrical Distributors, as its 95th President.

David takes over from CEF’s Chris Ashworth and will lead the Association for the next two years until March 2027.

David commented on his new role, saying:

“I am delighted to serve as the EDA’s President. I am an enthusiastic believer in the rewarding careers our sector offers but recognise that we haven’t always been effective at promoting the opportunities we provide. Recruitment often falls down the priority list, yet it’s arguably the most important job we do. That’s why I am especially pleased that launching the Power it Up campaign is a top priority this year - an ambitious initiative designed to help member wholesalers attract the next generation of talent and tackle the ongoing recruitment challenge head-on.”

David joined the EDA Board in March 2022 to represent the ANEW buying group, and served as Vice President since March 2023.

CEF’s Chris Ashworth, the Associations’ longest serving President, has stepped down from the EDA Board of Management after 10 years and is replaced by Andrew Moseley, CEF’s Commercial Director.
