VES is the Swiss Association of Electrical Wholesalers and was founded in 1914. Its purposes are to safeguard and promote the technical, economical and political interests of its members and also to promote the branch-specific education and training. Another purpose, the rationalization of the material management, was established by the self-help organization ELDAS, founded in 1997, to which all VES members belong.

VES represents four wholesaling companies with in total 26 outlets. Currently, 1 450 employees of the VES members generate an annual turnover of 950 million euros.

VES joined EUEW in 1956.
