IBS has announced its successful sponsorship of the European Union of
Electrical Wholesalers' (EUEW) General Assembly in Brussels on June 6, 2008. The
event brought together more than 200 delegates from across Europe and the world
to share and discuss the key issues and developments currently affecting the
Electrical wholesaling industry.
Davide Spada, Vice President Electrical for IBS, comments on the event.
"The EUEW General Assembly was a fascinating event and one which we
were very proud to sponsor. We saw this event as an opportunity to inform the
market that IBS is very much a part of this industry, with only fully dedicated
software solution for the electrical wholesale industry. It was important for us
to raise our industry profile and also to have be in a unique position to hear
about the most important issues affecting the industry and how they plan to
handle them."
He continues,
"One of the biggest impressions I received was that the industry as a
whole, including manufacturers, wholesalers, dealers, installers and even
government bodies, want to work together to meet the challenges that face them.
Many of the issues are truly global, and focus on reducing energy consumption
and increasing environmental consideration. It was also widely accepted that
efficient operations driven by improved software, dedicated to the industry's
specific requirements, is a key element in finding the best solutions to the
market's challenges."
The EUEW General Assembly welcomed more than 200 delegates from Europe and
around the world. Presentations were delivered by important and established
industry experts, as well as guest speakers from outside agencies, such as the
European Commission and the Association of Electrical Installers.
Davide Spada concludes.
"I believe the mood of the conference was very confident. The electrical
products industry is at the forefront of Europe's drive to save the planet and
the need for new energy efficient products is paramount. IBS is in an excellent
position to help wholesalers to maximize their own opportunities in this market
by providing software solutions that are truly dedicated to their specific
industry and business requirements. We look forward to offering the industry our
continued support."
