EUEW was founded in Paris in 1955 on the initiative of the French, German, Dutch, Belgian wholesalers. The foundation is therefore prior to the Rome Treaties institution the European Economic Community (EEC).
The first chairman was J. Cabus of France, and he has been succeeded over the last 45 years by chairmen from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
The goal and purpose of this website is to promote the electrical wholesaling channel and to
communicate its objectives and activities to its various trading partners and publics.
